Any luck booking Delta rewards from SFO in December 2014...to anywhere?
I have a bunch of Delta miles that I would like to use up this December/January if possible. Delta miles are not super helpful from SFO...so pretty much ok to go anywhere for a couple weeks with my girlfriend. Any help is appreciated!

No, I've not had any luck using DL miles from SFO in many years. I don't even check for availability much these days.

Got 3 BE awards at low going to paris and prague. Booked 2 months ago though. We leave thanksgiving and return early December. Christmas break is peak travel so you'll struggle there. You'll have much better luck in the DL forum though. It's not so much a SFO question as it is a Delta award strategy question.

Look for availability on any nonstop international SkyTeam flights from SFO. Beach destinations like some parts of Mexico would be unlikely, but northern Asia or Europe in BE would not be high season. Also, try to travel on less popular dates, like the holidays themselves. Go outbound on Sunday/Monday rather than Friday or Saturday and similarly avoid Sunday returns.
