VS J > DL J but as someone who spends most time in economy, I'll take free EC over paying for VS Seats Plus.

Is it really though? I've heard the manually seats in J leave much to be desired.

I based that on feedback from others. Personally, I'm happy with DL's J product.

I'll take DL Y over VS anytime.

And they are not replacing both VS flights, so if you prefer one over the other, you have a choice.

^^

Although there was no mention of co-location at LAX. I wonder if we will see the VS flights move to T5/6? Perhaps all the fancy new check-in areas under construction at T5 will carry BE & Upperclass branding?

I haven't been in the VS lounge at LAX (actually, I haven't been in any VS lounge ) but do you think VS travelers will be happy with the LAX SkyClub?

People using SWU would care to disagree (and I do not know if DL passes on the extra APD like AA/UA do, but the last time I knew about this was back when SWU was only good on M+ fares which made any savings useless.)

As far as Atlanta flyers go, this seems like an overall negative for elites in coach and those seeking upgrades.

But I think the VS Premium Economy option is a pretty good deal. Quite a bit better seats than EC, a moderate price, and you earn 150% MQM.

VS will in turn take over the first LHR-ATL (VS103 Dep 0925) to be operated by an A330-300
Will this be the first daylight flight from ATL-EU?

Um, for you in LA, sure... but for us in Atlanta, this is a WIN.

It's not daylight... it's overnight. Leaves at 5:30pm, arrives following morning.

Exactly why this is a good thing for Atlanta.

VS had ended its contract with the Air New Zealand lounge at LAX a while back and now that the T2 AF (old WorldClub) lounge has closed VS now asks its lounge customers to check in at T2, walk to T3, clear security there and use the Virgin America loft there, then busses them back to T2 I'd say the SkyClub would at least be more convenient option.

I hear VS was planning on building their own lounge at T2, but perhaps with a co-location with Delta at T5 those funds could be spent on an upgraded 'upperclass' portion of the SkyKlub?

Right, it is overnight flight, but not daylight flight.

Actually, VS/DL/BA/AA does have daylight flight is only for JFK/BOS-LHR.

I agrees. I'm sure this route will be so successful. Lots of competitive, eh?
