That is why I assumed they used the TBIT.
See the correction above - AF and KL now use TBIT.

You're welcome! I am curious to try to fly out of TBIT on my next intl flight. However, on this one I went DTW-CDG just to fly the A343.

When I came back from Paris, I used SLC as my port of entry.

The A380 flight (65/66) was out of TBIT. The other flights WERE out of T2, but now all AF is out of TBIT (as well as KL and AZ).

Thanks all. We have 3 1/2 hrs from DL to AF. Plenty of time to get to TBIT.

The new TBIT is supposed to be quite nice, but I can't give you a first hand report.

I have not flown out of TBIT in a long time, but came back into the USA via TBIT at Christmas since CBP in AA's T4 was closed. It is all shiny and new now and the remodel has done a great deal of good. That didn't stop the baggage wait though (40 min) after my AA flight arrived from LHR.

I'd have probably just flown in/out of LAX and rented a car for the drive up the coast. That's my preferred option when I need to go to the launch site at Vandenberg AFB.

LAX as a whole is a pretty detestable airport, but TBIT is actually one of the nicer terminals now that the renovations are mostly done. Lines at security before the evening TPACs are still insane, though.
