There's a phone number and details here (may be out of date) -- Delta Secrets - VIP Select Service Is The Most Elite - Points Miles & Martinis

Don't believe it is offered unless your origin is JFK, SFO, or LAX (for the query above about connecting flights).

This link says the price is $350 -- http://uk.businessinsider.com/deltas-vip-select-service-helps-vips-evade-paparazzi-2015-6?r=US&IR=T

XXX-JFK-YYY, for example?

From 2016 so not sure if it is still good. Delta's VIP phone line at 855-235-9847

Only reason I'd probably consider this is if it counted towards MQDs and I was a tad short on my qualifications

"Complimentary access to the elite SkyClub". Woo-hoo. Jim Beam anyone? LOL.

Trying flying LH or EK F these days. Now *THAT* is a "VIP" experience. And no, I am not a "VIP".

TFD
The links actually says "The passenger is then moved discretely through the terminal to a luxury lounge, such as Delta ONE at LAX, where VIP Select clients have complementary access."

I had not picked up on the fact that there was a specific Delta ONE lounge at LAX.

But, for the other airports, does the VIP $350 service guarantee that you will have place to sit in the Sky Club while your drink your Jim Beam?

If I were someone's client and knew that someone had paid $350 to put me in a Sky Club** I would look for someone more prudent to do business with.

** Yes. I now there are other benefits associated with the fee.

As far as I know, there is no more Delta ONE lounge at LAX anymore, it got left at T5.

While there has never been a D1 Lounge, there was a dedicated D1 Check-In area with its own entrance in T5. There is a dedicated D1 Check-In area in T2, however it’s not nearly as good as the one in T5 as it’s just a walled of section at the end of the T2 check-in lobby with no dedicated entrance from the curb.

The dedicated checkin area in T5 had seating and a small assortment of beverages and was marketed as a "lounge" of sorts.

Yes, they would either take you from one flight to the next or if time allowed, the service comes with SkyClub access that they would take you to between flights. That should be offered at LAX, JFK, ATL, MSP, SEA, DTW and a few other stations.

Flying LAX-JFK in D1 this weekend. Just got solicitation in mail offering this service at lax.

They will meet you curbside and escort you through the airport, into the SC, and right to the plane.

$250 for one pax,
$325 for two pax.

Didn't the Los Angeles airport build a private lounge for celebrities that came with a similar service?

Yes, LAWA runs a service across all airlines but it's very expensive and it uses a drop-off location on the other side of the airport. Looks to be far more exclusive than VIP Select as it has its own security and air-side lounge.

Delta VIP select

Anyone get an invite to this via email? For $250 you get
  • Greeter/Curbside
  • Baggage assistance
  • Airport guide
  • Discreet Boarding at your preferred time
  • SC access/flight monitoring/Re booking
There does not seem to be a webpage, just an email address

I am stupid enough to try this for my next international trip from JFK. Especially if I get to wear dark sunglasses and a fir trimmed coat.

Is the $250 per departure or per RT? I suspect the former as the service wouldn't be offered at all airports. I assume it's certainly not an annual subscription for this price.
