I just searched for ATL-CLE over thanksgiving and found a ton of 717s operating on that route. Looks like they're expanding to Cleveland, Little Rock and Panama City, FL (ECP) in November.

Not sure if this has been covered yet, but there's a 739 in my Christmas itinerary TPA-ATL. Now which seat to choose... Does anyone know if the bulkhead on the left will be hard or soft?

Routes

My September trips ATL-CHS and SAV-ATL that were on MD-88 have now been changed to 717-200.

What are the best exit rows for DH & I? I have us in 19A&B. We don't mind limited recline. We prefer more legroom (obviously) and more space behind.

Thanks.

The 737-900ERs are intended to replace older 752s (including the 75Ns), A320s, and domestic 763s.

That's a poor generalization.

ATL peaks at 40-something 65/76 seat regional jets this summer, and the 717 isn't a candidate to replace many of these -- or the remaining 50-seat regional jet -- flights from ATL. Undoubtedly, the 717 will replace equipment on flights currently operated with other, larger mainline equipment. Capacity will be offset through additional frequency as well as shifts in capacity to DTW & MSP as DL begins rebuilding its network with the mass exodus of 50-seat jets.

Slightly OT but has anyone else noticed the overhaul of how Delta's Seat Maps look on the website now? It now shows a proportional view of the aircraft and even shows the extra leg room in EC vs normal E.

ATW is just the latest ATL destination to see a 717 replace a CR9, effective 8/19.

The 717 arrivals aren't just replacing other (all larger) mainline aircraft.

sorry I'm late in coming to this but I think someone asked what routes for these aircraft? I'll booked a BOS-JFK-MIA flight in November and it's a 717 for the BOS-JFK portion. I much prefer that as I hate the shuttle aircraft they use from BOS-LGA.

You hate the E175? Why?

My regular commute is PVD-DTW which is typically a mix of CR2,9 or A320's and looks like all my upcoming travel starting tomorrow is switched to 717s.

Got upgraded also for the first time this year (GM) also so a good omen for the new type!

Looks like dl now added the 737-900er lga-mco. My trip for May changed to that aircraft. Several
Other flights I saw Mco-lga both ways are now the 739. Originally it was the 717 and md88s but I saw a lot less md88s for spring 2016

That's promising.....LGA has turned into 717 land. I thought these planes were supposed to replace RJ's not larger mainline jets like we used to have at LGA. Flights that used to be A319/A320/MD88 are now 717. Just an observation. I flew on the 717 to TPA this weekend and noticed 1A/B don't have the foot cut outs that 1C/D do.....bummer as I was in 1B.
