Checked bag question
I'm traveling BOS-AMS-MUC, but my flight from AMS-MUC is about 25 hours after I land in AMS. Can I still get my luggage ticketed to Munich or do I have to collect in Amsterdam?

The contract of carriage for international travel specifies that you are obligated to collect your baggage any time the connection time exceeds 12 hours. A kind agent may through check for a long connection, but you have a stopover since it's over 24 hours. I doubt you'll have any luck getting that checked through.
looks like I'll just have to walk out and re-check the bag. they'll let me do that at t-24 right?

I'm flying KLM though, so any chance they'd just take the bag and hold it for me? In the past flying out of ATL I've just checked the bag the night before and slept in the airport. Chances this works?

Since this has to do with luggage and international travel, permit me to ask this question here and not start a new post.
This is in regards to how luggage is transferred to connecting flight. Let's use Las Vegas, Detroit and Paris as examples and have a 70 minute connection time in Detroit.
Do they load they luggage in Vegas so that the ones that have short connection times in Detroit come off first?

Regardless, 70 minutes is enough time for any bag to come off, go through the baggage sorting system and arrive at the next flight.
You gave Detroit as your example, and I don't know if Detroit is actually your connecting airport, but it's worth mentioning the Detroit baggage sorting system is entirely automated, so risk is even further minimized there.

Wrong. I flew AF/KLM and they accepted my baggage in the SkyPriority check in positions more than 12 hrs before departure. My flights were in one itinerary so the computer accepted it and printed out bag tags with Priority.
