Scroll to the bottom of the page and follow the link for the glossary. It will explain 90% of the acronyms used.

And look, Delta.dumb is totally fair. Even DL admits their website is crazy.

The first step is correcting a problem is to admit you have one...."hi, my name is dilbertsdaddy and I am addicted to points"

I've never seen any acknowledgement that DL admits the problems with dl.com? All I see is how they brag about the awards that have been presented (by people who don't actually use the site). And after the last "enhancement" I even had an agent read her talking points about how people do not like change and they will get used to it....to which I replied you are right, people do not like change, but I am not complaining about the changes, I am complaining that nothing has changed, i.e. the booking engine does not work.

And I agree the tone on the forum is not always pleasant. I am very happy with DL with the exception of the website.

If you have BA gold, you mostly need to know the acronyms for BA and their partners, not DL. Some fora on FT have their own dictionaries which are often linked in one of the sticky threads on top of the list of the forum's thread listings.

Seriously???!!!

DL continually lowers their service, makes it harder for the top elite to redeem awards, get upgrades, get any satisfaction from Customer Service, etc.

So basically Delta screws it's FF'ers like a 3 peckered billy goat & your strategy for dealing with this devaluation is "don't worry, be happy"!!!

But, but, if you change the title of my silver status from kettle to something else, I will need to learn a new song when holding up all your important people, who are running me over. Right now, I just hum I'm a little teapot and wait for a reaction.

I've been seeing problems in my other forums where Tapatalk users aren't seeing the same thing that browser users see. So here's the direct link: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/glossary.php

Poster's profiles and post counts are also suppressed to save screen space, so the implied credibility of prolific members is invisible. Smart phones are dumbing us all down if misused.

So I guess we should create some new terms for the Politically Correct, Non-Offensive DL forum...

OK, I will start..

We cannot use Kettle anymore... So how about we use Person Riding In Coach or PRIC for short...

We cannot use Dragon anymore... So how about Sky Club Uniformed Member or SCUM for short...

We cannot use Delta. Dumb anymore.. So how about we use Delta's Optimal Reservation Center or DORC.

Maybe this will make everyone feel warm and fuzzy...

Afterall, how offensive can the following story be?

The PRIC who booked his flight on DORC was not allowed in the Sky Club by the SCUM.

Yeah, that's much better....:)

Just seen this and just had to bump. BRILLIANT

As a lowly PM, I don't think of myself as an important person and I don't look down on Kettles. I actually think people who don't have status clearly don't spend most of the year away from home, which means your life is better than mine.

Be careful... those are serious grounds for revoking your PM status. If I were you I would at least fake some DYKWIA once in a while, to be safe. ;)

Okay, thanks!

Well, thanks for showing the OP how to be a bit more courteous. Certainly a fine example...of several kinds of behavior that need not be named. :td:

I don't use the term Kettle. I prefer 'the great unwashed'.

originally used in the novel Paul Clifford c. 1830
