I suppose sLUT fares are the next funny moniker that will have to go.

Is the OP in the Little River Band?
Hang on, soon we'll all be lonesome losers, reminiscing about when flying DL was enjoyable. |

For me enjoyable DL flights went away after Gerald Grinstein retired. Anderson and company have been on the prowl and yanking benefits ever since.

So I guess we should create some new terms for the Politically Correct, Non-Offensive DL forum...
OK, I will start.. We cannot use Kettle anymore... So how about we use Person Riding In Coach or PRIC for short... We cannot use Dragon anymore... So how about Sky Club Uniformed Member or SCUM for short... We cannot use Delta. Dumb anymore.. So how about we use Delta's Optimal Reservation Center or DORC. Maybe this will make everyone feel warm and fuzzy... Afterall, how offensive can the following story be? The PRIC who booked his flight on DORC was not allowed in the Sky Club by the SCUM. Yeah, that's much better....:)

And typically a gatekeeper with attitude, so dragon makes sense. But look, if people have a problem, let's just call them leprechauns or unicorns.
OP, thanks for posting... and dammit, please speel my name right! it's Traveller, not Traveler! :) |
Are you British? Or did the other Traveler register on FT before you did? Or are those hockey sticks in your name?
|
I have no idea why I spell it with 2 Ls... been doing it my whole life and I am not British.

While we're all singing kumbya...
I just had the best flight of my life. DL200 ATL-JNB. Seat 1D. Had a wonderful meal...and then slept straight through for 10 hours. I haven't slept like that in years. Lay-flat in the little herringbone cubby hole with two fat pillows and a thick quilt. My first time on the new 777 BE product and I liked it a lot. Nothing like good sleeping quarters on a 16 hour flight. Of course, now it's 3AM here in JoBurg and I'm wide awake (too well rested)...so watching the OSU/Wichita State game... |

Is there a list of appreviations/acronyms somewhere?
I've been a member for over a year and do not understand many of the appreviations and acronyms which are used here. Most of them in fact. I am not an infrequent flyer, and I have Gold status on BA, so I don't think I am a dummy newbie. But please, is there a place where I can become familiar with the jargon?
