Glad to see the A330's going into mods. Make it again one of the best aircraft in the DL fleet.

I'm flying on an A332 from LAX-MSP next Saturday, and Delta.com indicates both wifi and satellite are available. I flew the A332 on the same route a month ago, and neither were offered. This must be a mistake, right? Delta's products update page indicates that there aren't any international configs with wifi yet, and satellite seems even less likely, ja?

I noticed the Delta app is already showing the new 1-2-1 configuration on the seatmap for the A332s.

None: it's an IT error just like the app showing the old WBC config for the 744 even though they've all been modded. No modded 332s are flying yet.

There will only be one out of mods by the end of 2013, so the odds are pretty good that you won't be.

just a tease by DL. and another one I found was on sin to nrt. It was showing the route being flown with an A330 and the seat icon was showing a flat bed.

This is not accurate. There will be 1 A333 and 1 A332 out of mods by summer 2013.

Then they go full steam starting late August/early September, much like what has happened with the 76Ls and 76Zs this fall and winter. There will be several more out of mod between August/September and the end of the 2013. All will be complete by Summer 2014.

Chris posted that they'll start going in for mods in Fall 2013. I don't see how that means there would be several more out of mod between August and September. There's no slack on the long-haul fleet in the summer to send these aircraft away for upgrades in July and August. I suspect the first non-prototype mods will be started in October (maybe late September) and just barely come into service by the end of the year.

3301 N801NW Coming Home

1st flat-bed A333 on the way back to the states. Should expect 3351, the first A332 in mod, to be back in roughly 1 month.
