Upgradeability question

When I try to price transatlantic flights with a domestic leg, it shows both segments as not upgrade eligible. This is true with either K or other lower fare classes. I know the intl segment is not, but the domestic segment should be, correct? Is this just a DL web site glitch, or is there something I am not understanding?

The issue of domestic legs showing as not eligible UNTIL PURCHASE has been discussed as a web site bug. After you buy, the usual rules apply. As long as the domestic leg has a distinct flight number.

A problem comes during instances where a single flight number is slapped on an operation that includes two legs, even on different metal. The internationality of the second leg infects the domestic leg and can lock you out of a deserved upgrade.
