But airline coffee is just... well, it's just not coffee.
Maybe it's because the water lines are full of bacteria and fecal matter? http://www.fitsugar.com/EPA-Confirms...er-Gross-60939

We are dealing with coffee you can at least drink vs that which you can not. There was a time there when it seemed like they had some ok grinds and whatever water they were using was ok. Maybe, I hit a rough patch, but I almost asked the FA to make herself a cup, so she could taste what she was serving, but the weather started getting rough and our tiny ship was tossed...

My thought upon seeing the subject of this thread was "God, I hope so."

Thomas, why on earth would you attempt to drink coffee on a flight? I have never had a positive experience with this, although some claim AS is better...

It's not just me!

Thank goodness it's not just me! It's not a new issue... the coffee has been undrinkable since the merger. While I can't say I've ever had a magnificent cup of coffee in flight, Delta's coffee is the first I can't even hold my nose and swallow just to wake me up. It's the most foul liquid I've ever tasted!

It is not a "new" issue by any means and by principle, I rarely drink airplane cofffee as I am a gentleman and gentleman do not drink rot.

Yet, there are times when events from the night before along with a morning schedule that deem a gentleman must seek coffee from places where a man should not seek coffee.

There was a time... a short time it seems, when Seatle's Best came back on line and I actually had a few drinkable cups of coffee. I wonder if as part of the deal, they cleaned the machines to improve the overall taste,

I do not expect the same coffee as that nice lady makes in the AlItalia lounge in FCO (but they should go take lessons).... yet, coffee should at least not have such a horrid aftertaste that even Silver Medallions would refuse it if it was free.

I do not ask for much... I am a simple man of simple means....

Just, do not serve coffee on delta jets that tastes horrible... Delta has proven they can serve drinkable coffee before... let's do it again...

I know this may sound silly, but I think its the creamer.

We still have the same coffee, but instead of stocking us with half and half creamer and regular creamer, they've been stocking us with coffee-mate original creamer. I didnt think there was much difference, but BLEH! I know the coffee itself isnt amazing but I drink coffee all the time while Im working, and I really think thats why its tasting worse. Unless you drink you coffee black, then i have NO idea...lol
