Finally! PM for the first time.
Man, this whole "gameification" thing has us all motivated doesn't it?
That said, I'm glad I finally got there.
Not sure what diff it will make in my real life, beyond upgrade percentage. I fly a good many discounted fares, and usually solo. But still, glad for getting it.
Guess it won't do anything for my cheapie coach flight to EZE tomorrow night, will it?

Congrats.
For the EZE flight, are you already sitting in EC? If your PM-ness is already reflected in your DL FF account, you should now be able to select an EC seat for free, assuming that one is vacant. PM also gives a better chance of you getting an OPUP, although this requires that coach be oversold.

Congrats! I was a PM for a year and a half before I became DM last December. I can't hardly compare it to GM because I was GM for only about a month, if that. I will tell you that PM is way better than SM.

DL refunded mine without me even having to ask when I first made PM. I paid for EC on DL64 as it is worth it for an 8 hour night time TATL into MAN. I had made PM a day or so earlier and they refunded. Very nice of them
BTW Congratulations OP on PM - I did notice the difference. No change fee for redepositing miles for award travel is nice.

Congrats BostonGuy!
I'll make PM on my last trip of the year in December!

Why do they do this? Do they not want to be DM because the perceived benefit of DM over PM is not so great and they're afraid not be flying 75k over the next year? I'm already mourning my lost DM benefits (higher UG% and SC membership) as I will likely make 115k and can't go higher unless I do a major MR.

im a bit intrigued by 1225's comment. I will be about 1300 miles short of DM by years end and I chose NOT to do a MR. I'd rather stay at PM. Ones current milleage accrual does not play a factor in deciding on UG's does it? is this new? so two PM vying for the same seat and all other things being equal the one who has accrued 120,000 MQM's will get the UG ahead of the one who'd only accrued 80,000 MQM's to date?
