Nope. I'm GM with Reserve card and searching July '13 for BOS-HNL only shows Medium awards....the entire month. Not just FC, but Coach as well. Hawaii awards are becoming impossible to get at low levels, and they're really not worth the equipiment/service used to get us there.

Thanks JTrue....they do fly the A330 with lie-flats to HNL from ATL...I've done that a couple of times and would prefer that route. I think one of the other guys found a LOW saver from ROC - HNL...not sure the routing though.

I'd get the Gold/Plat/Reserve card if I could get better low availability....

Just did a quick search... here's the routing for a sample itin for 10/27 - 11/1

ROC-DTW-SFO-HNL
HNL-SFO-MSP-ROC

40k miles when "I am travelling" is checked, 65k when it's not. I have Delta Gold, no status. Didn't find low for first/biz.

I'm looking at tickets MSP-CDG for me and my wife. We both have just barely 60,000 miles. I have the Gold Delta card and she doesn't. I can see direct flights (and even hold 2 seats) at 60,000 miles, but she can only see 77,500 (mid out, low level back).

I tried calling Delta and the agent found 2 seats for me at 60k, but when they added in my wife's information, the price for her ticket jumped to 77,500. Is there any way for me to book both tickets with my skymiles account / card but have her pay with her miles? Or are we stuck regretting ever canceling her Delta Amex?

You would have to transfer her miles to your account and pay a fee. Better to get her the card.

I can't seem to find the status listed since the system was "improved" a couple of months ago. Where is the proof that the system knows about your card now located?

Very interesting...I tried this now, and noticed "I am travelling" definitely gives better availability and fewer miles as well.

The award availability with DL.com is a joke. It has always involved gymnastics of I am, I am not traveling, clicking back and forth the calendars, logging in or not logging in, having a card, not having a card.

This is just one big bleeping mess...

So after the DL profiling thread and fun we had, it got me thinking, does DL increase award availability based upon just elite status? We know the answer is now, but what about CC status? Does a Plat Amex see more than Gold Amex? Reserve more than plat?

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...about-you.html

So, playing around with a random itinerary wondering if you call could help me.

Itin: MSP-ATL March 2nd. Y and F

What we need is:

Not logged in (no status) - done
Logged in (no status)
FO (no Amex)
FO (Blue Amex)
FO (Gold Amex)
FO (Plat Amex)
FO (Reserve Amex)
GM (no Amex) - done, more low options than DM Blue
GM (Blue Amex)
GM (Gold Amex)
GM (Plat Amex)
GM (Reserve Amex) - done
PM (no Amex)
PM (Blue Amex)
PM (Gold Amex)
PM (Plat Amex)
PM (Reserve Amex)
DM (no Amex)
DM (Blue Amex) - done - no increase in low over kettle (not logged in)
DM (Gold Amex)
DM (Plat Amex)
DM (Reserve Amex) - done - more low's with connection, more medium availability over DM with Blue

I'd did the first one (not logged in) and DM (Blue). Please help out and post. Flight numbers listed below, / indicates connection. I'm only going by the search results, not doing any manual forcing. Use the options below to cut and paste to save time. If you only want to post direct non-stop flights, then just do that. I put more info in for additional info.

Right now logged in (as DM with blue card) only helps on 2 flights in Y going from med to low.

GM with Reserve and my results are the same as yours as DM with Blue. Interestingly, my results don't change if I uncheck the "i am traveling" box.

Some comments:

My DM (and MM) + Reserve card gave five more choices of low coach connections than mnredfox's DM + AmEx Blue. Assuming he asked delta.dumb to show all, I also had more medium FC award inventory, but still no low for this Saturday about three weeks from now. My logging in didn't seem to make a difference in 80,000 miles versus 100,000 miles for FC.

I don't understand the 32,500 miles listed in a post above by mnredfox for a one way coach ticket. This price in miles should only appear for a RT with one way low and one way medium.

Search by price for tickets paid with money show slightly more choices, 46 flights rather than 44 coach or 41 FC/Biz.

The FC/Biz searches when not logged in were maddening in that every single option, including the non stops, was marked as "FC and Others" or "Business and Others" suggesting that some segments were in coach, but I didn't find any such itineraries.

Similarly, searching for FC/Biz when logged in, every single option said "seating in different cabins" but all seemed to really be premium cabin.

On the coach search when logged in as DM/MM, the non stops were marked upgrade eligible while the connections said not upgrade eligible (regardless of the price in miles).

Finally, even though I was doing a search for a one way ticket, every choice was marked "RETURN FLIGHT".

Wow, thanks for the info and for sharing. Hope the reports keep rolling in.

As for your inquiry as to 32.5K, I think you are right. I logged out, cleared cookies, quit browser, and went on DL.dumb to research. I was surprised that it now matches my DM status. So much for that.... (I edited my previous post)

If anything, it seems to now show that only Amex makes a difference.

FT-ers, please keep posting your searches.
