Need help finding cheap ticket

I'm trying to find the cheapest ticket possible from omaha to Atlanta on October 26-28. I can only leave at 12:30 or later on Friday and would like to be back no later than 3 on sunday. Any help you could offer would be great. The only option I'm seeing is delta but it's $400 which is out of my price range. I'm looking for more of a $250-300 price. Any suggestions?

Another option would be to fly from Kansas City (MCI), Sioux Falls (FSD) or Sioux City (SUX).

Check alternate airports and expand your flight times. As Omaha is showing "T" inventory both directions on Delta it is unlikely to get cheaper

If you must fly from OMA Southwest offers one-stop flights with times that work for $366.70

If you can drive the 150 miles each way to Kansas City Delta offers non-stops for around $346 though you can get one-stop flights on Frontier for as little as $241.20

Confirmed the Southwest one-stops $366 within your time limits.

If you are brave and don't NEED to make the trip, you could try priceline. A coworker recently got 2 RTs ABQ-CMH 2 days out for less than 50% of the lowest published 2-week out fare. Took her several tries (you can get more than one try by changing a parameter) but she was eventually successful.

Priceline would be OK but the OP should be careful that s/he would have no control over the time of departure.

And for most of us here on FT, the opaqueness of the carrier and lack of mileage and upgrades is a deal-killer. From the west coast, the risk of winning a priceline redeye is too high if redeyes are unacceptable.

Welcome to FT!

Many folks on here find this to be a useful search tool (http://matrix.itasoftware.com/).

You can also click the "nearby" link next to your departure and destination airports to look for flights to/from other locations within a certain distance.
