Delta to Upgrade 2365/2364 LAX-HNL-LAX to 767-300ER Eff Oct 28
Eff Sun Oct 28 and looks to be into the foreseeable future.
2365 0840-1140 LAXHNL 767300ER
2364 1310-2145 HNLLAX 767300ER
Very interesting considering competitors have been downgrading their products on LAX-HNL.

If it's the domestic equipped one with 5 rows of F, this is no upgrade, at least to me.
I'd like to see Delta start offering upgrades from LAX/SFO/SEA - HNL like United does on it's near-HNL routes. (In fact, DEN was just added to complimentary upgrades)

The domestic birds are just 767-300, equipment code 763. The international birds are 767-300ERs, equipment code 767. EF shows 767 with six rows of 2-2-2 seating in the forward cabin.

Now is DL would once again operate the old NW A330 nonstop MSP-HNL that people loved so much.

In that they're -300ERs generally from the late 90s and early 2000s? Yes.
Here's a seat map from the lie-flat config DL 767-300ER.

Here's the more common BE recliner seat.

The mistaken impression that Delta had scheduled non-ER 300s with domestic First seating was corrected up-thread.

I have given that some thought but so far have opted for the early out of MSP as it is one less night away from home. Still beats the hell out of riding a 75 with a west coast stop. I generally leave a day early so have a day in HI before I start my trip sequence. (The intercontinental biz jet I fly is sometimes booked solid flying around the western US and/or pacific and since we are limited in flight time by FAR, it is less expensive to swap crews than move the airplane back to base.)

Someone has to compete with HA's shiny new A330's on the LAX-HNL. A 753 just doesn't cut it. I wish they'd throw a 763ER on the SEA-HNL.
