My new favorite Y seat

Flew SLC-LAX sitting in 5C on an EC configured CRJ-900. Man, I love that seat! Give me that and a couple of HOOUs and you can keep the FC seats on that aircraft...^

Glad to hear you had a good time. But is it really better than the A side in F?

A lot more legroom, certainly, in 5C. I like the A side in F, also, except the window placement strikes me as kind of funky.

I would say they are the same as long as you are on a short hop.

Yeah, I flew on one ATL-DEN. That's a 1,200 mile 3.5 hour flight. Even 1A wasn't comfortable by the end of that trip!

3.5 hrs in a torture tube?! Why is DL doing that?

I've done an RJ9 JFK-MSP and did not clear on that segment as part of an M/SWU ticket to ATH I think. There was no EC and the plane was stuffed full.

IIRC, that was actually a SkyWest flight on UA. But the CR9 range is a bit over 1,400 miles, so it's definitely possible to use these on routes that long. Glancing at the DL schedule for ATL-DEN, it appears they use mostly 757s or other mainline equipment. Good news for all, no doubt!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the longest scheduled DL CR7/CR9 route is?
