Delta first class
I flew AA first class from DTW to MIA to Central America
It is amazing just how bad DL first class is
Immediately I noticed another 3 inches of leg room on AA
Food was a different planet
Service was way better although this varies with whether you have a NW or DL crew.
Why doesn't delta want to compete?
How cantge are product e so different..
Maybe it is that they don't sell many FC seats
Chicken egg problem
awful product means no one will pay

I am assuming you flew on their 738?
It's a coin toss when it comes to their hard and soft products on board.
I'll admit it was pretty neat the first time I sat down in a 738 seat on AA and couldn't believe the room.
Ive had some outstanding food and some really questionable food on both carriers. Same thing can be said for the crews.
I don't own an iPad and my 17" laptop is more or less a pain to drag around, but I prefer wifi and PTVs over food any day of the week.
AAs Samsung tablet is great if you haven't watched it before (as they only hand those out on certain transcon sectors) choices go pretty quickly.
I was star struck so to speak the first time on an AA 738 and saw everything you wrote about. But after the first few times, it's just another flight on a different route/day/carrier.
I guess I'm jaded, but just 200 miles left before a million lifetime on Delta and already over 300K on AA over the last few years, it's all the same to me.
And AA sells their upg coach fares at a reasonable amount as well. DL is not alone in this and is not close to the worst (as has been documented over on the UA/CO board countless times).
When it's boiled down, they really are all the same crap in a different wrapper.

I've had better experiences on AA's premium cabin than in DL. Just flew SDQ-MIA-CDG in J. A whole different world, really loved it. Will be flying the route again, and if the food/service is consistent, will stick to the route instead of SDQ-ATL-CDG.

Because DL gives it away to Elites. Unless you are EXP, you are paying something. I have moved ALL paid premium cabin to AA. I will take it for free on DL, but when its coming out of my pocket, the experience on AA is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO superior to DL. The brainwashed DL "elites" are so transfixed that they got an F on their boarding pass that they can't realize it is simply not first class at all. Come on, DL - tighten it up and do better!

DL isn't giving it away for free anymore... they've effectively gutted the domestic upgrade program with FCM... however with them selling F for another $69 over the coach fare instead of upgrading elites into a near empty F cabin, what do you expect?
