Delta at DCA

So with the slot agreement between US and DL i guess I can say goodbye to almost all the Delta flights that don't go to a hub out of DCA.

darn I kinda liked having delta as a reserve option

Not really...

We lost a number of flights. But didn't lose too many routes.

The list posted in the DCA thread only accounts for eleven out of the 42 slots slated to be cut.

DCA-MIA- 2 slots
DCA-TPA- 1 slot
DCA-MCO- 3 slots
DCA-STL- 2 slots
DCA-OMA- 1 slot
DCA-JAX- 2 slots

I don't think delta has utilized all of their solts at DCA for a while now so maybe the effects will be less .

I know a large number of them are ATL-DCA

Delta can always add flights out of IAD ...... I would love to see some flights to LAX

If I were Delta I wouldn't think about adding flights out of IAD. I would focus on adding flights to BWI before IAD. UA's hub is pretty strong out of IAD. Also, DL tried IAD-LAX in the past and failed.

IAD-LAX was proposed but never started.

Given the "monetization" thrust, I'd choose another carrier because my company specifically restricts us to "cheapest available ticket".

There's plenty of traffic IAD-LAX, including UA, AA, B6, and VX (and maybe someone I've missed). WN dropped their flight from IAD-SoCal.
