No, he moved to Atlanta at the time of the merger.

Bob Soukup is still in the area, working as director of loyalty programs for Best Buy. Their corporate headquarters is close to MSP, almost next door to what might be the nicest airport hotel.

Okay, now I'm curious, what hotel is that? I can't think of any super close to BBHQ.

The only things remotely close the BBHQ that I can think of were the Embassy Suites across 494 and the Homestead Suites (or whatever it's called) on Penn Ave...neither of which are great (and the latter is disgusting; I had to stay there one night).

The Hilton and Radisson by MOA are rather decent from what I recall.

It couldn't be the Westin at the Galleria could it?

I have done much business with BB and have made many trips to MSP to see them at their lush Corp HQ. I would love to meet Bob S post NW (met him briefly once in 2003) as well as our own FT ex insider. I am baffled by some of the stuff they do...

I may try and make it up there for this meet-up but I have committed to the ATL taco-athon in Feb so not sure I can do both.

Embassy is where I stay (even met a few FTers there for some Guinness on tap a few years back )but the Westin is the nicest in the area IMO.

It would be super if someone fixed/ put up some tentative dates on record.
Weekend dates are Jan 7 & 8, Jan 14 & 15, and Jan 21 & 22.
I am willing to be a volunteer - to help out in any way.
Live about 22 miles from MSP.
Have no travel scheduled till Jan 28th - so far!

I would be willing to show as long as it is not in the remodeled SC. I hate that place. Ugly.
