IMO the horrible aspect of the 319 is that DL removed a row of FC seats, so that upgrades are much harder now.

Well that part is certainly true.

If they can't find an African airline that will buy the 319's it would be nice to see them take out 2 rows of coach and add another row of FC, and maybe another 2-3 inches of pitch.

Not holding my breath.

Deltafication. They will not reverse the decision to go from 16 to 12 FC seats.

I thought the A319 had a bigger cabin in 07 or so when I was onboard a NW operated one. The cabin seemed fairly small from 3A MSY-LGA- was quite happy to get the UG though ^

Tray table is still odd as a dropdown...

Yes, NW had four rows of 2-2 FC seats or 16 of them. One of the first things DL announced and did after the merger was to remove a row of FC seats from these birds. I resent this very much, still.

About 30% more space (pitch times width) than coach on this thing, not very amazing.

Your best bet is row 1, and get on early to stow your stuff.

And if you are DM flying these things on elite heavy routes, your best bet in coach would be to call and get the bulkhead row. There is lots of extra legroom and no wall so they are hands down the best seats in Y on this plane.

Hi Everyone,

I'm flying ATL-BOS on Monday on an A320. Already received the u/g and am in 1C - any recommendations? It looks like the reviews are mixed...

Thanks!

I prefer 1B, but 1C should be ok. Board quick to get carry on storage. The bulkhead aisles are not that bad on the A320. yes, legroom is restricted-but, I am 6'1 and it has never been an issue. YMMV!

The 319 and 320 are quite nice in F, IMHO. I like it much better than the MD-88.

The recline is great. But as one of FTers resident big fat guys, I prefer the tray table attached to the seat in front. Almost all the tray tables in the armrest are uncomfortable or impossible for me to use.
