Good call. The 77L is around quite often if you want to fly ATL-LAX. Seize the chance to ride on a 744 domestically while you have it.

For my last MR I specifically booked on the 77L LAX-ATL... was even upgraded too... but then it got a change to a 738.

LMAO!!!
I've actually had it booked for quite some time. My destination is Zurich. 3 days in Zurich. So, even though you can call it a MR, I'll be spending a few days to do some touristy stuff.

That blows. when did you find out? Did you just spend the night in LAX, turn the same day???

That happened to me...sort of. The inauguration of the 77L was the flight. I was booked for the return journey, LAX to ATL. It was going to be a battlefield upgrade. The night before at the hotel, I was a sure thing. Then, with the dumb luck that I have, the previous LAX to ATL flight was cancelled. All the folks in F on the cancelled flight got put in F on the 77L flight. I wound up in coach. Oh well. shyt happens.

I'm so tempted to do this (got some Chase points to blow). However, I'm only gold and worried I won't get the UG. How likely is this bump because if I just sit econ I don't know if i can justify it.

There are alot of BE seats on this plane but the word is out and I wouldnt be surprised to see DM's in the back. About 1/3 of the seats are already "sold". I am traveling LAS to ATL that day and am thinking about a short flight to LAX to catch this flight. Yes...I admit it, I am an airplane geek.

The only time I complained a flight was too short was on the UD of the 744.
