Bring back the $19.95 monthly mobile pass, and I'll buy again.

What I would like to see is X cents/minute option (X=10 or something like that).
Useful if I only need to check email once or twice during the flight or send a document I was working on for the last 2 hours.
Would also help someone with weak battery or give a chance to stop using service if it is too slow or does not work with VPN or whatever.

Glad to see a GOGO rep on this board. In a day when Wifi is free nearly everywhere, many airports offer it for free, hotels, I think GOGO is just priced too high. The bottom line is that it should be $5/12h and advertised and I think you'd see a jump in numbers. The problem is that nearly 30 minutes on each end of a flight can be (or said to be) under 10K' and the system is useless. Thus, even for a 5.5h transcon, you have 5h and are competing with meal service for your tray space, etc.... This truly should be an economy of scale type product. It would actually be hard to find a place that charges even more than $5 for 4h of Wifi and even then there would be alternatives, lobby in the hotel, hotel bar might offer free, internet shop down the street. I do like the fact it is available and I do hope GOGO makes a 'go of it'. In only one instance did I plonk down over $8 for a transcon when I had a project I just had to complete. I just make sure I really don't need internet access when I fly. Sorry, but pricing needs to be more realistic.

They've done extensive pricing research, including surveys. While you have valid points, there are plenty of people who feel otherwise. If half as many people would pay twice as much as it's worth to you, then GoGo would see the same revenue with a lower load/cost.

I bought the monthly pass regularly until Gogo raised the price and forced a smarmy auto renewal. Now my flights are blissfully Internet free.

Ditto, for that kind of money I can have a nice monthly data plan on my mobile device and catch up with everything when I hit the ground.

I understand there are some biz travelers who need it, must have it and fly enough so that it's merely 'couple dollars per trip but for people who only fly handful of trips per month - 'gotta be kidding me...

Once again the capitalization of internet never ceases to amaze me - what's the worst that's gonna happen when you provide LOW COST or FREE wifi? Somebody might buy something?

None of these worked for me last week on multiple tries.

Well, to begin with, it is not "8675329"... it is "8675309"

Just ask Tommy Tutone.

I disagree completely as I normally fly transcons and that makes me out of the office for nearly a full day and GOGO (until tonight) has never failed to connect to my VPN client to allow me email access on a flight. The monthly cost given how much I fly breaks out to about $2.50 per flight and that it worth every penny to me.

Just my two cents though ... YMMV

Still using VPN to connect to your email server? Tell you IT people to get it together!

Based on some comments here a while back I decided to give gogo another shot (I remembered it being painfully slow) and I was pleasantly surprised, it is actually usable. Now I still think it is expensive BUT at least it is usable when I do pay for it.

The second one, I am assuming, has a somewhat lascivious theme.

The 5th one was a rural phone number from the 1970's (?) country music show "Hee Haw"...

The 6th one I am still working on.

These albums were from before the horrid Sammy Hagar days when David Lee Roth was the front man for the band and it was glorious.....

No more 24 hour passes

Apparently, in an effort to squeeze more money out of us regardless of ethics,
Gogo is now no longer offering the 24 hour pass on particular flights, including no transcons.
So, if you flight from Boston to JFK to SFO, you can buy the 24 hour pass and use it on Boston to JFK and then on to SFO.
BUT, the other way around, the 24 hour pass is not valid on transcon so you have to buy perhaps 2 passes???
This applies retroactively to even those who prepaid relying on Gogo's offer of the 24 hour pass.
Booo. Hope that someone starts offering in flight competition.
