Sadly, the bananas seem to be the most prone to undercatering. Seems like they regularly fail to board enough bananas in the snack basket.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does DL double-cater out of ATL for a turn to a spoke city that does (for example) ATL-DFW-ATL. That might explain banana shortages on DFW-ATL flights...

I think the bananas are most prone to being pilfered by a FA. I've notice this on more than a few occasions.

the bag i had yesterday had 17 M&M's in it. i was sad to see the reese's cups go, but if they had to go, M&M's are a fine replacement.
M&M's that are on the verge of melting are the best....... :-)

Yup, melts easily... and in fact the twix do as well. Had a flight out of DFW with nice 100F+ temps and the twix were soft. That fake waxy 'chocolate' on the M&Ms hold up better. hahaha

I have seen that thread, and it was one of the best ever on this forum IMO. I have seen pilots/FAs take the bananas, but if you're in rows 1 or 2 there should still be a couple left!
The Banana Bandit hasn't cheated me out of a banana yet, though I don't know about those behind me.
Of course, the worst thing is sitting in the front Y bulkhead and seeing those scrumptious snacks being doled out amongst those more fortunate than I in the upgrade lottery. Part of me wants to yell, "I'm only one row away! Please, have mercy, throw me a bag of Harvest Cheddar sun chips!!"

Wish they were peanut M&Ms. And when I saw the thread title I thought DL might finally be bringing back regular Sun Chips. Alas, no.
