Got another $160 offer on SEA - RDU on return from a business trip
Declining this time since I'm traveling with wife (on a corresponding award ticket) but amazing to see again as they try to also sucker me with a $65 offer on a separate RDU - EWR flight (which I of course declined knowing I would clear at the PM window which I did). Sometimes the pricing baffles me.

I've generally had decent FCM offers on the routes I fly, but the last 30 days have seen a massive increase in FC pricing. For example, on a leg I'm flying on Feb 11th, MCO-SEA, Delta is asking $799! I paid $250 for the same damn route a couple months ago. And it's not just THIS route; I almost always see $350-400 FCM offers on either MSP-SEA or DTW-SEA (or the reverse direction) and now they're all $500+. Is anyone else seeing such huge increases?

And it could have gone out with 35 people on the upgrade list. Did you look at the actual upgrade list? It isn't uncommon for lazy gate agents not to process upgrades and instead let seats go unfilled.

Oh I agree. Not regretting it, just was surprised that it wasn't full. UG list was fully processed.

it's probably a one-off repositioning flight (after a football charter?) ... lunch service is much more likely than dinner at that time

Bit on a MSP-SFO offer, $181 or 16,900 miles. Cabin was showing 14 seats remaining up front and 6 in C+, so I wasnt feeling particularly optimistic as were about three weeks away. 70 cents/min and the potential flexibility for SDC made me keen.
Interesringly, the reservation now shows me in the Z bucket, but the receipt still shows the underlying V fare I booked. Is this typical on FCM offers paid with cash as well, or just something unique to pay with miles?

Offered a first-class buy-up for $638.55 between Detroit and Cincinnati on a CRJ-900!
Another outrageous buy-up offer was $299.93 for first-class between Salt Lake City and Detroit on a 737-900.
