Of course, but the point of this entire debate is the allegation that a pilot has the command authority to kick anybody off "his" airplane for any reason whatsoever, and doesn't have to answer to anybody. Which is silly, obviously.

That is just not the way the world works, and is not codified in U.S. law.

Yep, but in a world of telephones, that observation is moot.

For those not familiar with airline ops, a dispatcher can simply call the tower and order a takeoff revocation.

Pilots are not gods, despite what they tell you.
