A Small Challenge

Looking for the cheapest R/T from MSP on Delta.
Must depart/return prior to 5/31 (prefer a weekend)
Have $100 cert to use.
Kinda like a "mini mileage run"
MKE? MDW? STL?
Anything else under $199?
Not really worthy to post in the Mileage Run Forum so its here.

MKE and STL are cheapest. Can you buy a refundable ticket and then cancel it?

I believe it only has to be booked by 5/31, not flown.

Actually, travel must be completed by 5/31.

DEN looks doable:

OUTBOUND
Sat 16 Apr 2011
9:15am MSP
10:25am DEN
Nonstop2h 10m
DL 1708
Economy (T)

RETURN
Sat 16 Apr 2011
1:26pm
DEN
4:21pm
MSP
Nonstop1h 55m
DL 2108
Economy (T)

Cost: $159.40 - $100.00 = $59.40
Miles: 1,386 (flown) + 295 (5X AMEX promotion) miles = 1,681
CPM: $.035

Is this a good deal?
I have never personally done a mileage run, but this seems okay.
The certificate was a freebie from AMEX.

If you do this don't forget some Rocky Mountain oysters at the Timberline Steaks and Grille (center of C above the train).

JK - I would not eat oysters of any variety in an airport

Are we talking REAL rocky mountain oysters; i.e. from the lower anatomy of male cattle? We got them here in Grand Forks at a local restaurant but I haven't come across them elsewhere till now.

The real deal - lightly battered and fried.

I have seen them on the menu a few places in Montana.
