My travel is almost 100% paid by the client. That being said, I don't take advantage of the client and that cheap fair really tempted me; but I couldn't make it to the clients location in time.

I really think the main difference between the Elites and the kettles is what I pointed out. I was willing to pay more for a flight that worked into my schedule, vs. being able to post and tell my friends that I just booked a $150 ticket on DL. Had I been paying out of my pocket and was on personal travel, that 2 hours would be well worth the $200 in fare costs (especially with a family).

I usually fly cross country---Orlando to Salt Lake being the first leg...

And the past several times it's been a cereal option. I asked the flight attendant why and she said they are serving less and less warm breakfast meals.

So--- I now grab breakfast before I hop on the plane.

Sorry---but I see this as cost cutting and nothing more.

BTW: I like the omelet. :)

Carbohydrate Load
 
I don't about you, but I have no problem with the cereal...on my flight on Friday from DTW-SLC....it was one carbohydrate after another....

Cereal (Raisin Bran)....almost all carbs
Hot Croissant.....all carbs
Strawberry Yogurt......lots of carbs (a little protein)
Cut up pineapple and melon (all carbs)

I'm sort of surprised they didn't offer potatoes in there, so we could collect all of the carbohydrate groups together.

Just a little protein...even a hard boiled egg would have been fine with me....even plain Greek yogurt would have been OK....and it wouldn't have cost any more than what they had there. Oh...don't forget...they had strawberry jam (more sugar) for the croissant.

And most recently I have experienced DCA-ATL flights on a 7-row 757 in F with one FA. Y gets served faster. Ridiculous!

Exactly! If you do not like it than change carriers. This is the only way DL will change to accommodate.

Unfortunately, DTW-SLC is only 1476 miles. 24 miles shy of the hot breakfast cutoff of 1500 miles where you would likely get a choice between the cereal and an omelet with sausages.

Do you just "feel" that FC is filled with low fare types? Anywhere Delta is duking it out for market share, they throw lots of these fares out... I do not see how that is the fault of the dude buying the ticket...

...and I say this as a guy who buys most tix in less than 7 days and do 4 to 6 legs a week on average with few under $600 and most close to $1k... and I am far from unique...
