I haven't read the entire thread, so forgive me if this has already been answered. I qualified PM on Dec 23. Where in my account info on DL.com should the choice benefit info be displayed? Thanks!

Choice Benefits Selection

I apologize if this has been asked already... I did a search in the forum and couldn't find any information pertaining to my specific question. (There's plenty of other Choice Benefits information.)

This year I'll be hitting PM and DM, meaning I'll have the ability to select Choice Benefits. That being said, I know that with PM you get one selection and DM gets two. Since I'm hitting PM and DM in the same year, will I get three selections? Might be a dumb question, but it makes sense if you think about it.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will get to select one when you hit PM,and when you hit DM you will get another 2.

Great. I didn't realize that you select them when you hit the milestone. I was under the impression that you choose at the end of the year. Thanks!

You will actually get six selections. 1 for PM 2011, 1 for PM 2012, 2 for DM 2011 and 2 for DM 2012.

Not true anymore: this "glitch" has been fixed.
OP will only get 3 total: 1 PM for 2012 and 2 DM for 2012

I was Diamond in 2010 and am now dropping to Plat at the end of Feb. I haven't gotten anything via USPS or email - when should I expect to hear something about my status change?

You won't "hear" anything, other than the thud on 3/1 when you look at your status and that it changed - either that or when you open your snail mail and get the PM card and you slam the mailbox door shut.

That's right, 3 choice selections. Remember you don't have to pick the choice selections right away. The SWUs have a 12 month expiration, if one of your choices, suggest waiting until you want to use them.

You can select DM before PM for the same year, but you must make both of your DM choices at the same time and they can't be the same. Also, PM and DM choices are slightly different: miles, SWUs, GM vs FO status gift.

Choice Benefits Selection

I just found out about a "mistake" I made, and I wanted to see if I was the only "confused" Delta Diamond.
I have been a Delta Diamond since inception; in 2012 I flew a huge amount of miles. So in the spring of 2013 I was given the choice to choose my "Choice Benefits" for both 2013 & 2014. In addition I should note that in all my years, I have only once used an 'upgrade' certificate...but I still get them, as back in the day it was about the only good option.
So, for my 3 selections I picked the same items: Systemwide upgrades; some bonus miles & gift Gold Membership to my wife.
So, in 2013 and to date in 2014 I have never used my upgrade certificates (I mostly fly Business Class overseas...so they have little use).
This week I have a domestic flight, during rush hour, that goes to MSP. My ticket is a cheap class, so I wanted to use an upgrade certificate to increase my status (above other diamonds on the same flight).
Now the rub...I have no upgrade certificates. Although my wife's Gold Membership was for both 2013 & 2014; and of course the miles can be used at any time....
The upgrade certificates I picked with my 2014 earnings, expired in March of 2014; because they were picked in 2013. All upgrade certificates, no matter the award period expire in 12 months from issue.

What does the rest of the forum think? I feel this is kind of tacky and somewhat deceitful on Delta's part; I feel they should have matched the year (6 certificates for 2013 & 6 for 2014).

I think you should have read the T&C and you're SooL.
