KLM/DL Code share seat assignment

Greetings,

I am on my return back on AMS-ATL on a KLM 777-200.

How can I make a seat assignment for BE or however KLM calls their class? Online it does not work? DL 800 # can not help, do I need to call KLM and if so, which #

Finally: What are good seats on 777-200 BUS class?

Thanks!
DLH

Try entering your DL conf number on the KL site. If that doesn't work, I've called KLM in the past (international call, as if you're a Dutch caller calling from AMS).

To be assured of your seat you need to get DL to change you to the KL flight number then login on klm.com. More details:

1. Call Delta and ask for your KLM "PNR" (confirmation number)
2. Go to www.klm.com and open your itinerary using the KLM PNR.
3. Select your seat assignment.

Note that your codeshare itinerary will have both a DL and a KL PNR attached to it and they will be different.

THis is one thing I wish Delta would consider having displayed on their website. NWA.com always displayed this and it was nice because then i did not need to call them and ask for it.

But, I have called numerous times to get KL PNR... the first time for my trip next month, the lady had no idea even where to get that information, which proved very interesting.

If all else fails, you can also email KLM and ask them to assign you to a specific section of WBC (World Business Class).. the website to send the Service Center a message is: http://www.klm.com/travel/us_en/cust...act/travel.htm

Additionally, they also do seat assignments via Facebook. You can go to their page, http://www.facebook.com/KLM and send them a private message. Just explain to them that you have a Delta PNR (send them your ticket number & Delta PNR #) and they should be able to help you that way also. When I was stuck in Turkey from the ash cloud, they started doing all of these things via Facebook, because the phone lines were flooded... They have continued this process through today.

+1

It is nice that delta.com displays the actual ticket number with the itinerary. Knowing that info has been helpful on more than one occasion. Displaying the PNR of codeshare flights would be a good next step.
