What does Business (X) mean?
I was upgraded on my flights this weekend, but the ATL-LAX flight cabin/class is listed as Business (X) rather than First (V) like the others. What does this mean? Delta.com says it's a 767-300 with a business class section rather than a first class section.

Not necessarily... Your flight is likely a continuation of an international flight. (Same flight number, direct but change planes) Any time that happens, the first class is ticketed as business, even though it will likely just be domestic first class. I'm going to guess it's 125 or 17 or 370? Most 767-300s, to my knowledge, are configured domestically. (at least the ones doing domestic runs)

Ah, sorry for the bad info. I've only had it happen twice, where I received a Z (BE) upgrade instead of G (FC) on a domestic flight, and it turned out indeed to be a BE-configured 767-300. And it was a short flight, ATL-MCO, so was quite surprised, but pleased.
But you can probably see which it is in the seat map.

No...it will likely be the regular domestic F seat. It's all based on if the flight number continues to/from an international destination. I've been on plenty of 737s, 757s, 767-300s, MD-88s and MD-90s in X class and it was the same old domestic F seat and service.

Like others have said it just means the flight number continues as or internatonal flight or the domestic flight you are on is a continuation of an international flight.
I have been in X on MD88's, 767s and a 757 once.

OT but I'm adding this to my friend's list who is noting how many international flights (DL & otherwise) originate in Europe/Asia, connect in airline's hub w ship change, then continue to MCO. She calls it the Goofy effect. LAS/LAX also trending though not as often as MCO it seems.
