What does Business (X) mean?
I was upgraded on my flights this weekend, but the ATL-LAX flight cabin/class is listed as Business (X) rather than First (V) like the others. What does this mean? Delta.com says it's a 767-300 with a business class section rather than a first class section.

AFAIK, it means that the flight is configured with a BusinessElite section instead of domestic FC. This is usually a good thing - enjoy the flight. :)

Ah, sorry for the bad info. I've only had it happen twice, where I received a Z (BE) upgrade instead of G (FC) on a domestic flight, and it turned out indeed to be a BE-configured 767-300. And it was a short flight, ATL-MCO, so was quite surprised, but pleased.
But you can probably see which it is in the seat map. Susan |
Its a "sexier" business class for the over 18 crowd.
Comes up as "G" if not. |

Right, the OP will get a 60-inch seat pitch instead of the standard 38 inches in domestic F. :)

Like others have said it just means the flight number continues as or internatonal flight or the domestic flight you are on is a continuation of an international flight.
I have been in X on MD88's, 767s and a 757 once. |
