Odd E-Credit

I just noticed in my coupons/ecredits section of my SM profile there is an E-Credit that "cannot be used online". Any similar experiences? From where did it come? It is not tied to any itinerary and there is no explanation.

From what I've read so far, that would be the amount of refund in ecredit you would get if you cancel your ticket.

Ex: Ticket rt PHX-JFK $300, ecredit: $150.

Hopefully that will help to answer your question. ^

I just noticed a mystery ecert in my profile. It is closed. Expires 3/18/11.

What does this mean. I flew on an award ticket in Feb and a one way Lax to Las Vegas in April. Would this imply that I had a ticket to fly on 3/18/10 and canceled or exchanged it? This is news to me.

There is another thread discussing this...they are just phantom credits, not real (unless you cancel your ticket). Read the more recent posts in the thread. I had several credits, one for each itinerary, and all followed the same -$150 pattern.
