also can i SDC onto this flight if my flight is at 6:30pm (same day)?
You can't SDC since the second flight doesn't have availability. If seats were availablie, you can SDC at any time during the same calendar day as your original flight, just call DL 3 hours before you NEW flight.

I was going to ask also, what are those blank spaces on seat counter for certain fare classes?

(SMALL EDIT)

also, seat counter is showing like 4 instances of this same flight, one with Y1 on the SLC-PHX portion

::edit again:: saw that its a different connection flight out of SLC

You will benefit from reading the SDC rules on delta.com or from a search for the SDC FAQ thread on the forum.
