Paper E-Tickets?

Purchased two tickets last week. One over the phone with a confirmed upgrade using miles for myself. The other was for my wife on the webpage. The next week I open up the U.S. postal mail and there's a letter from DL for me. It's titled "Receipt for E-Ticket". I was thinking it must be for the ticket I booked over the phone. Nope, it was for the ticket I did online.

1) What's up with the Paper for E-Scrip.

2) Why send them out for online tickets (which I already had email receipt) and not over the phone tickets?

3) I'm hoping I'm not going to run into some crazy OLCI issues where they claim there was an e-ticket issued.

Same where. Don't know why DL does it. Seems like a waste of postage and paper.

Andy, tell me about it. Although I live 300 miles from the reservation office they send me letters from Auckland, NZ. Never understood why that is ...
