Please note that the Delta club is in the "S" terminal and you need to take a shuttle to it, so do allow sufficient time to get to your gate.

Why are the showers divided by gender? Are they not separate rooms which can be used used by any individual...or are they attached to the restrooms, one to the men's and one to the women's?

At SEA, they're all connected via "train"....the gist is the same, but it's not loading a shuttle/bus (for clarification).

IIRC, I believe the 30-day passes must be purchased at clubs (not online etc).

There is one shower that is IN the men's room and one IN the women's room.

While the SC is accessible to all who are airside, it is not practical to schlep to the S gates to visit the SC if not flying from the S gates... unless you have a very long layover that you are looking to pass.

You should also be able to enter the Alaska Airlines club in concourse D with a SC 30-day membership.

Yes. South Terminal. Upper floor, next to the BA Terraces lounge.

I like SEATAC Skyclub - but if you are a SC member some say the Alaska Boardroom is better and you should have access

One suggestion:
Choose based on your departure gate.
The Sky Club and the Boardroom are in different terminals.
They are separated by bit of a distance, part of which is connected by an underground tram.
They are both quite nice, however.
Enjoy.
