DL response to CO changes?
Check out the new changes to OnePass (very user-friendly SWUs at 100K and a new spend-based level, plus new level for life at 4MM) just posted by CO Insider in the CO forum. Any speculation on how DL will respond? At the very least, it would seem to put pressure on DL regarding the PMU/SWU issues.

Not sure, however I like the fact the revenue based tier is clearly defined. 30k in 2010 gets you in.

Delta's PMUseless is now an absolute joke of a program, especially for Diamond level flyers. Systemwide upgrades is one where they are worst in class and it can't be argued.

Wow- the SWUs look very similar to AA. DL has to up their PMU ante at this point as the CO SWUs are basically everything Delta's PMUs aren't (except for being capacity controlled)
From COInsider:
" * Theyre valid with all published fares. And without any upgrade co-pays!
* Theyre valid everywhere we fly. These upgrades are good for a one-way upgrade to Domestic First Class, International Business Class and BusinessFirst on any flight operated by Continental, Continental Micronesia and Copa Airlines. One certificate equals one one-way, no matter how short or how long.
* Theyre fully transferable. You can redeem them for yourself or anyone you desire, regardless of whether theyre traveling with you
* Theyll have the same capacity controls as OnePass Upgrade Rewards. Specifically this means R class on Continental and F class on Copa

Capacity controls are out of OnePass award buckets. Not great, but absolutely blows Delta's offering out of the water.

+1. And I must say it says a lot coming from you.

Yes but if I recall correctly, the benefits will begin in the summer thus initial entry fee will be evaluated annually. Too lazy to read the article on the iPhone to confirm.

After today, in my mind if you are a 125k+/yr international flyer (heck, 100k!) that's primarily in Y, there is absolutely no reason to stay with Delta aside from a 125% mile bonus...for anyone doing that much flying in Y, I'd be avoiding Delta just so I could get a few trips in Y at a reasonable price.
After today, if Delta does not lower PMU usage to K+ fares, they will be very non-competitive with their counterparts.

I do not see them trying to compete with the others on this. I wish they would, but they have not been looking at anyone else recently, or they would have matched the double EQM. They have enought issues trying to get the IT stuff worked out at the moment.
