Another change. Ship we were supposed to take from Hong Kong to Long Beach next moth left Oakland on schedule, but disappears into a Russian port for a week or two before resuming schedule 2 weeks late. Good thing I was on top of it and found space on another ship that had moved up to take over the scheduled sailing.

On a side note, Major League is actually a really good & funny movie--but I suppose only if you understand baseball. The sequel, on the other hand...

Huge contaner ships pulled off the China-California route. Too bad as these reputedly have outdoor pools (if the crew bothers to fill them).

These cruises are generally part of a repositioning cruise, generally to or from Alaska or part of a world cruise.
Examples:
• Holland America Maasdam, 39 day starting 15JAN17
• Celebrity Solstice + 2nd cruise, 20APR17
• Emerald Princess, 12 APR17, 32 days
• Holland America Noordam, 26MAR17, 36 days
Of the above the Holland America ships are better built for crossings with the Princess being top heavy so location on that ship would be critical.
