I did a couple random searches for flights, seems they are about ~$9 above ITA now. Is there some 'enhanced' booking fee being added? Crummy that one of my itineraries now prices out to $400.95 because of this.
I couldn't figure out if they're missing the more discount fare code or something, for that matter, can't even find the fare code on the US Bank site. This wouldn't be the first time I've seen this, and needed to call the agent to manually book it. Of course, the site says that the phone operators aren't available yet... I guess they're also being 'enhanced' ? As an aside, anyone have points that were supposed to post over the weekend? Statement closed Friday for me, still no points posted. I'll wait until the 'enhancement' banner is gone before I start to worry about this. My points also haven't posted from my last statement, though they show on my actual statement, just not on the "enhanced" rewards site...not too worried about that, yet. |
Dont see the transfer points option anymore .. or where do I look .. did this a few months ago, dont see the option anywhere

"You can quickly and easily transfer your FlexPoints to other FlexPerks Accounts. Whether you are transferring to a family member, friend or another FlexPerks Account you own, just follow the easy steps under the Point Transfer option on the left hand side of the Account Summary page within the FlexPerks Rewards Center." But I am also not seeing this option this morning... I know transfers were possible as recently as September 16th when I borrowed a few flexpoints from a friend to book a flight. But this morning, as I try to repay him, I don't see the option anywhere either. Man I really hope they didn't take away the free points transfer - I think it's one of the most compelling features of this card! |
was doing some quick research online and saw this expired offer. my current offer is $3,500 MSR for 20,000 points in 3 months....i feel terrible
Now (early August 2012) through the end of August 2012, you can earn 33,150 FlexPoints for spending $2,500 in five months, a very reasonable target. |
Has anyone tried the following trick to maximize tiered airline rewards:
Maintain two separate accounts between husband and wife, one in which points are actually accrued ("Account A") and one which holds only a nominal amount of points ("Account B"). When it comes time to redeem for a flight that prices out to, say, $401, transfer points from Account A into Account B so that Account B has exactly 20k points. Then, book the ticket through account B paying exactly 20k points plus the $1 difference. Seems like a great way to maximize value. Only downside is that if you're booking 2 $401 tickets, they would likely have to be purchased in separate transactions, so that Account B has only exactly 20k points for each transaction. Anyone have any real world experience with this? |

There is no "plus the $1 difference". $400 = 20k but $401 = 30k. (Unless something has changed recently?)

You've got two choices for getting that ticket: spend $401 cash OR spend 30,000 miles. |
That is the one major challenge with FlexPerks. Gives a great redemption value IF you max out the ticket price at the point cost. It does not offer a point plus cash option like some of the other programs do. I think they are counting on breakage, which lets them offer the lower points cost for a ticket.

Is there a US Bank Retentions thread?
Just called on a FlexPerks card from the Olympics promo. Have actually been using it consistently for about $400/month. No offers. This was my second call. However, I was able to convert to the Cash+ card with the unusual rotating category bonuses. Had been wanting to pick up that card but the signup bonus is never high enough. Also did not want to completely close out this account since the CL is so high. So I'd consider that a win. Thanks..... |

If you convert to a Cash+ card, can you retain the Flexperks currently in your account?
Does redemption with Cash+ works the same way, e.g. up to $400 airfare for 20K points? Is a point sharing option between family members still possible? https://www.usbank.com/credit-cards/...signature.html |
Another spending promotion: Holiday Shopping Could Bring You 3,500 Bonus FlexPoints
Ok thanks for the offer, but, wow! Talk about requirements! LMFAO!

Use your FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature® card for $9,500 in purchases from November 1 through December 31, 2013, and you’ll receive 3,500 bonus FlexPoints One thing for sure, this confirms my suspicion that the spending requirements on these promotions are based upon how much you already spend on the card. I also have the business version of the card, and was offered 2,000 Flexpoints for spending the much smaller amount of $1250. |

Agreed. My version of this "holiday shopping" promo is 3000 points for spending $5500. Which feels potentially doable, and that's obviously the point. ;-)

$1250 spent for 2000 points. :(
I would definitely take advantage of this if the Safeway $10 coupon offer were still live. |
