Cancelling CC
I tried to cancel some Citi AA cards today. They hasseled me some. I had to speak with a 'supervisor.' They wanted to know why I wanted to cancel. They offered me 3K FF miles to stay. For the Amex version, she offered me a $50 gift certificate. I ended up taking their offers. I really feel like a whore.

The best part, rinse and repeat a few times (provided there are no annual fee's).
Their retention will continue the offers...
I've got a non-rewards card I've been 'cancelling' for close to 3 years now... Doesn't get any use.. just sits in the desk drawer, they credit money to it every now and again
