Getting your credit report

Hey guys,

I did a search for this but couldn't come up with anything relevant =\

Other than the 3 free annual reports, where is a good place to pull your reports to monitor your credit rating/history? I'm a little paranoid when it comes to numbers so I want to see how things affect it up or down

Thanks,

Misha

If you want your official fico score, go to www.myfico.com. You can pull reports there as well.

I'm glad someone asked. I went through the same search last month. Truecredit will pull your reports and give you 3 scores, but apparently people say these are not accurate. I went to myfico.com and did the FICO Deluxe which gives the 3 reports plus credit score from each. Use 'CPPSAVINGS' for a coupon/discount code for 20% off. Pretty pricey($38?), but if it helps you to churn for bonus miles then it sure seems worth it to see what is going on with your report/score.

Plenty of places except you have to pay for it. Furthermore, a credit report would NOT give you your credit rating, only the history. You need to pay more for the credit rating if that is what you are after. There is no free lunch.

Watch out for Truecredit. They give you a credit score - this is some score they come up with. It is not your FICO. Furthermore, there does not seem to be a relation between their score and your FICO. I would not waste my $ on them.

It's free for 1 bureau and maybe includes 1 bureaus score.. If you need the whole picture of your credit report(like if you're churning), it's best to get all three bureaus and credit scores from each. Can't get that for free, unfortunately.

If you have an AMEX card go to their creditsecure site (just type it in for the search) and for $11.99 per month you get ALL 3 credit reports plus your "plus" score.

You can get a new credit report as many times as you like and also the same for your "PLUS" scores.

Much better deals than myfico and all the rest./
