I think it's available now in the Sheraton Starpoints Credit Card:
welcome bonus of 1,000 Starpoints
one Starpoint for every dollar on every purchase
1-to-1 conversion to 20 airlines, including all majors
no annual fee
See http://home1.americanexpress.com/app...0.asp?Entry=20
What isn't available is a Visa/Mastercard with the same features. Given the far wider acceptance of those brands, that would be my dream, even if it involved a "modest" annual fee!

I think Mudgal's dream is a Visa/MC with those features. I don't think it exists.
If you collect AA miles, the AA World Mastercard might be as close to nirvana as you'll get. Supposedly the customer service behind this card is near-Diner's-like (I'll believe it when I see it). Annual fee $50, sign up bonus 10,000 miles.

As to the AA world card, regrettably, they don't fly into MT. So I can't foresee any real use to the card. (Or am I missing something in terms of their partners?)
