transferrable to my individual ff accts

modest annual fee

Starwood Amex:
1000 point sign up bonus
1-1.25 points/$
Transferable to multiple ff programs.
No annual fee.

Any other questions?

I think it's available now in the Sheraton Starpoints Credit Card:

• welcome bonus of 1,000 Starpoints
• one Starpoint for every dollar on every purchase
• 1-to-1 conversion to 20 airlines, including all majors
no annual fee

See http://home1.americanexpress.com/app...0.asp?Entry=20

What isn't available is a Visa/Mastercard with the same features. Given the far wider acceptance of those brands, that would be my dream, even if it involved a "modest" annual fee!

Is the Starwood AmEx the same card as the Sheraton Amex posted below by 2 many miles? When I went to the Starwood page, there was no link for AmEx, altho' there was a link for Sheraton. I'm concluding they're one and the same. Is this right?

Yep.

I think Mudgal's dream is a Visa/MC with those features. I don't think it exists. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

If you collect AA miles, the AA World Mastercard might be as close to nirvana as you'll get. Supposedly the customer service behind this card is near-Diner's-like (I'll believe it when I see it). Annual fee $50, sign up bonus 10,000 miles.

Yes, my dream is a Visa/MC . . . however, the idea of being able to deposit cc miles into multiple ff accts is very appealing. Only problem, for me, is Delta's "always double miles" promo on gas & groceries. Where I live, those are the retailers that are most likely to take the card. Still -- it deserves some thought.

As to the AA world card, regrettably, they don't fly into MT. So I can't foresee any real use to the card. (Or am I missing something in terms of their partners?)

Unless you travel alot I don't really think a Mileage card is good for you. There are alot of rebate cards you can get to get some cash back http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Mileage cards work quite well for me/us; (in the past 14 months, I have been to CA, Poland, FL and HI. Husband and 2 sons also to FL. Have also booked 2 r/t tix to FL for next Feb -- all of these have been award tix.) In addition to personal spending, we own a small business which generates many of the miles. Hence, the search for "my dream card."

And the Starwood program gives a bonus of 5000 miles when you transfer 20000 points for miles.
