Keep AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant or switch?
I have had the AMEX Brilliant card for around 3 years. Primarily use it for Priority Pass lounge access when traveling esp internationally and use the dining credit regularly, plus when staying at a Marriott property.
Between these uses and the annual night cert, I think I am breaking even on the fees but wondering if there is a better card I should switch to for lower fees or better benefits.
AMEX Platinum is one Im familiar with but the fees are even higher (used to have that before I switched to this one). Upgrading to Chase reserve from current Sapphire is another option but the additional card user fees make it expensive. Any others I should consider?
other cards I have and use:
- Chase Sapphire
- AmEX Green
- Chase Hyatt Visa
Thanks!

It all depends on what your overall situation and needs are with cards
I personally find the Capital One Venture X, the single best option as 395$ fee is repaid by 10k miles and 300$ travel credit
That and 2x points makes it a free Priority Pass enabled card, with extra lounges at both our airports.
We also have a Ritz Carlton card - for a whole lot of friends and family for the pass.
We almost never spend on it
For cash back the best card is
A
4% with no annual fees
US Bank Smartly if spending below 10k a month
B
2.625% with no to minimal fees
BofA Premium or Unlimited Rewards for unlimited spend
Both require a large amount on deposit at USB or BofA but that can be an IRA or a brokerage account with stocks and funds you already have
If you have a lot of airfare spend, then the Amex Platinum can fit your bill due to 5x miles
If you live in a high rent or mortgage situation, the Bilt 2.0 card may be the best.
