Happy New Year, 2026!
PenFed's got "Great Rates for Everyone"! https://www.ispot.tv/ad/ABLO/penfed-...s-for-everyone |
I've had a PenFed acct for 10+ yrs and just came across the Pathfinder card.
I just applied for the Access America checking acct so to get the Pathfinder annual fee waived. Then while looking for better sign up bonuses for the Pathfinder card, i came across US Bank Altitude card. Basic difference: Pen Fed- $100 annual domestic air ancillary travel statement credit (But it seems like your have to jump through hoops to make it useful) US Bank- 4 passes to a lounge My home airport is IAD. I travel solo. I'm flying into LAX in March then maybe LAX-Singapore same month. Or IAD-Dubai in April. Which is the better card for me? |

I think you mean Altitude Connect, which is discussed here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cred...5-10-21-a.html

That's the next card on my list since Cap1vx doesn't allow auth users, and Amex Platinum/ CSR all have become too expensive to keep for long keep. Will get one for myself and one for my P2. |

I don't have status on any airline so Being a peasant, I want the high life of lounge access. (Till i get tired of the novelty) After I got the card, I noticed that each additional lounge pass beyond the 4 free costs $35, which is the same as the Pathfinder's lounge access. So $35 x 4 = $170 in value vs Penfed's $100 flight credit (with an easy? hoop jump). I guessed right. :D (Obviously, if you don't value US Bank's free lounge access then get the Pathfinder) |
