I see. Perhaps I shouldn't have been to Benihana or Ruth Chris so many times. After all, it brings a false impression that pay at the table is widespread. It was like during October 2015, where I thought almost every single store would have EMV since I happened to shop at Target, Rite Aid, Walmart, and Walgreens during that very week.
Moving back on topic, US Bank may end up regretting the 3x for NFC transactions if they don't add restrictions to discourage MS.

Disney World, and Disney Land both have mobile payment stations. Its how they accept Magic Bands.

Disneyland in California doesn't have Magic Bands, and won't. The new MaxPass system uses QR or barcodes displayed on the guest's smartphone. I've never seen mobile payments accepted in Disneyland (though it's been a couple months since my last visit), they still swipe on the side of the terminal. I actually did see one place using a chip reader (the crystal shop in New Orleans Square IIRC), but that store is separately operated and not run by Disney itself.

Alright, has it been established what is the best way to go about getting this card for a person living in a state without USBank presence, and no prior USBank products?
Say, credit is otherwise excellent, and all the metrics well below what banks would frown upon. So it's also in USBank's interest to take them on as a customer.

I'm guessing they are trying to roll this out slowly so they don't get hit with an unmanageable number of apps.
