Which credit cards report Authorized Users?

Which credit card issuers report authorized users?

I know AMEX does and I think Chase or Citi just started doing it but I am looking for some actual data points.

Particularly if the AU was reported as having the account open since the original account opening date and not when the AU was added to the account. I know AMEX used to do this but from what I heard, they do not do this anymore.

What is your reason for asking this question? Does it concern the ability of an AU to apply for and rec. a credit card in their name?

I think any CC that ask for a SSN of the AU will report it.

Adding an AU to your old account will help someone with new credit or someone that have a bad credit.

Citi does so for several years now. Being added to my wife's card got me from "no score" to A+ in a month or so ( new resident)

Chase has been doing so for over a decade. That's how I have a credit history since I was a teen from my parents' accounts.

Chase and Citi have reported for AU's for quite some time. Be very careful relying on SSN to determine whether or not a card reports for AU's

+1 to the question to the OP -- what are you specifically looking to accomplish? It's unrealistic to expect us to list every single one that reports for AU's.

It's not just age that matters. If an account where one is an AU is considered (they are not in all cases) then all of the standard factors matter. An old account, for example, won't help if it has derogs and/or high reported utilization.

My reason for asking is because my actual credit score is much lower than anticipated (I was using Credit Karma to estimate my score). So I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to get myself added as a AU to someone else's account. I have the option of choosing from AMEX, Chase and Citi but I didn't want to get added as a AU if it won't get reported.

Do you live at the same address and/or share a last name with the person(s) who might add you as an AU? If not, the AU account(s) might not show up on your credit report and/or not have any impact on your FICO.

I've also heard that AUs are less likely to appear on a credit report if an SSN isn't attached to the AU account. Many CCs allow people to add an AU using only a name or name and DOB. (I was an AU once using the latter method, and the account only showed up on one out of the three main credit reports.)

Here's an article on the good & bad of adding an AU: http://thepointsguy.com/2015/12/auth...-credit-score/
