So this raises two questions:

1. Why are you here?
2. Why in the world would you want a CSP?

Was maybe hoping someone would convince me to travel. I have nothing against it, just never do.

OK, I promise I wasn't trying to be a dick, I'm just baffled. It doesn't sound like you're really in a financial position to travel a whole lot anyway. Reading miles/points blogs, one could get the sense that jetting off to Abu Dhabi every other weekend in First Class is totally doable for most people. Traveling for "free" is actually a great deal of work in and of itself, and it never ends up being free. Food, incidentals, admissions, etc. add up very quickly.

My recommendation is to really focus on cash back and getting yourself in a better position financially and credit-wise. The fact that you're only getting $500 credit limits means that you're still viewed as somewhat of a credit risk to cc companies, or your income is relatively low (don't worry, mine is too - the life of an educator). I'd try to get a Chase Freedom or a Citi Double Cash next and focus exclusively on cash back.

I hear ya. Thanks. I tried replying to the other person twice also who listed some cards.

I will decide on bce/bcp once I know my spending habits a bit. Too hard to say now. Seems like cash back is the way to go, thanks again all.

Welcome to the thread and hope you enjoy reading everyone's plans. I was in your position before getting into airmiles. I recommend that your first target is a good credit rating whilst you move and get a new job, then on a couple of years your new hobby could be collecting points for travel.

I were you I would focus on cashback credit cards, and keeping 1 or 2 active credit cards at a time: it's a lot easier to track your spend. You want your credit rating to shoot up so always pay on time and make sure you update all your addresses as you move, be consistent with the earnings you declare on your application forms. Check your credit history report and look around for other tips.

I sound like a professional in the credit industry. Funny that...

Hope it works for you!

scar1 welcome to Flyertalk.

As this involves several credit card programs, we're relocating this to the Credit Card forum.

Many years ago, when I was checking out mortgage rates, I was told that my solitary credit card was hurting my credit score and that I should have at least 3. So I would suggest you choose exactly 3 fee-free cashback cards to keep forever.
