Targeted Barclaycard offer - changing the address
I received a targeted offer for a Barclaycard Rewards MC, at my home address. I wish to apply for it, but want to have my work address as the mailing address.
Would that affect the approval decision in any way? I've excellent credit (FICO 844 as shown on Discover's website), and the most recent HP is from over a year ago.

Not saying you can't do that, but....
I did the opposite, it mailed to my office but I changed to home address, application was declined instantly (it allowed me to submit the application though).
To play it safe, why don't you just apply first and once it is approved, call to change the address?

I don't see any problems here, like I said, first apply for the card, once approves (let's say the system approves it instantly), call up Barclay to change the mailing address right away (before they send out the card).

I'll do that, and report, in case anyone else is ever curious about this.

This was very uneventful. I called in, and the person I spoke with allowed me to use the pre-screened offer with my office address as the mailing address. She said she'd have to ask some extra questions to ascertain identify, which I was fine with.
Besides the minimal information that's shown on the short form that came in the mail (address, SSN, phone, income) I had to provide the name of my employer, verify a few random items from my credit file (who has my mortgage, did I ever have a car loan with bank X, etc), then she put me on hold for maybe three minutes, and came back with an approval.
Card should arrive "in about a week", or I could've asked for expedited (2-3 business days) with a $15 service fee.
They pulled TU, btw.
