Churnable to get repeated 5x rewards?

Not possible

Update April 16, 2016: Still Not Churnable

How to pay down CL quickly?
ACH push from other banks to wells fargo checking and then use that to pay credit card

Likely to get shut down if...?
- Have a negative balance
- Have a really high balance
- Cycling several times through your CL
- Calling in and getting caught by human eyes for suspicious activities.

To check what your 5X/5% window is:
In the rewards account, go to My Rewards -> Account Activity and the days left on the promo will show up at the top....looks like a pie chart.

To check which transactions get 5X/5% before your statement posts
Now, to check if new transactions are eligible for 5X before statement closes, go to "My Rewards" on the top and click "Activity" and set the start/end dates. You should see a "bonus earning" for 4% extra cash back for anything that's eligible.

Caps on 5x / 5%??
There are no more caps.

What to do when transaction not going through due to FA?

it looks like they have a new rewards page, a new design
so maybe they are upgrading their rewards system; I guess no need to worry but a little bit more patience.

Weird.. I got an email this morning - "A new redemption has been processed" for $25. Still not able to login to rewards website and see what is going on. My cycle closes on 8/7. Expecting lot more rewards than $25. I guess they are testing the site. Hope all my pending rewards are still there.

Mine showed up originally, just no way to redeem to my bank account because I can't access the site.

Anyone is churning this card, recently? Any issues? I am planning to, as this is my last month with 5%.

Didn't know it was possible to churn the 5% card. Thought all reports were second card was only 1% regardless of offer you apply for. Have things changed?

What does the collective brain trust think of redeeming the points (I have the 5x points version) for a physical check or directly into my WF checking/savings account? I have about 500k points ready to redeem. It doesn't seem like one redemption option (direct into checking account vs physical check) is better / worse than the other.

I would go with directly into a checking account. You have spent 2.5 million on this card??

Ha. No way have I spent $2.5M USD. More like $100,000 spend x 5% rebate x 100 = 500,000 points.

Any issues with redeeming the full 500,000 points all at once? The site seems to limit you to 10 redemptions of $250 (10 x $250 = $2,500). I could do this redemption twice on the same order for the full $5k (2 x 10 x $250 = $5,000).

Also - what WF refers to as "account credits" (redeeming directly into a WF checking/savings account), the fine print states that account credits can take 4-6 weeks to post. Does it really take that long?

It takes only a day or two to get credited to bank account.

I hope that all those points are for 1 month. If not, your an idiot. Redeem them right when the statement closes. A friend of mine lost a lot when he had his prior month unredeemed and they closed his account.

I'm glad I'm not an idiot.

oops...long weekend and rusty math. Yeah, it only takes a couple days. I usually do 3 redemptions at a time (a 250, 100, and 25) so I can get my balance under 25. Presumably the goal is to have less humans see this large number, and I think to the checking account is best plan. Paying off the credit card is a bad idea if it means you are "overpaying".
