Double inquires according to CreditSesame

After applying for the Chase Marriott Visa, Hilton HHonors American Express, and Citi Hilton HHonors Signature Visa, I received a credit alert on CreditSesame. I went to view the alert, and it indicates that I have six recent credit inquires -- two from each of: FirstUSA, Amex, and CitiBank.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Do you think I literally received double inquiries, or is it just a bug with CreditSesame?

I would check my official credit report, but I have about 7 or 8 months until I can do that again.

Double inquires according to CreditSesame

You mean separate inquiries at different credit bureaus?

I have read that Capital One will often hit all three bureaus with an inquiry when you apply with them for a total of three inquiries.

Double inquires according to CreditSesame

I think it is a bug with CS. I had something similar happen last week.... I had a decrease of debt on my student loan and on one of my cc's. Both of which showed up twice... So four alerts total for two accounts.

You don't need to wait to request another report

Credit Sesame gets their data exclusively from Experian, so this wouldn't be from different credit bureaus.

Not sure if it's a CS glitch though

I would not be convinced that you did not receive double pulls. There are multiple reports of people getting hits on two credit reports by Chase. I received Transunion and experian pulls on my last Chase apps. Run a search and you will find the other reports.

I think it's a Credit Sesame glitch. I applied for two cards, one AMEX and one CITI, and it's saying I have four pulls.

Also DH got two alerts about the same thing--change in card balance.

CS shows that I had two hard inquiries when I signed up for an AMEX in June, hopefully it's just a bug.

You can also get an Experian report every 6 months through https://www.quizzle.com/ (Quicken Loans).

I think something is off. It showed that once of my cards had a limit decrease of $7,500. That is accurate. The only problem is that it is showing it twice in my notifications for a total decrease of $15,000 which isn't right. Same deal on reporting balance decreases. It is doubling them up.

I had the same thing happen with a Citi card last week.
From what I see here it appears to be a CS systems issue that will be hopefully corrected.

Wow, thanks for all of the replies. I appreciate the feedback! I also did not know I could check out my credit report more often than 1 year without having to pay.

Thanks again for the info everyone. I think it probably is just a glitch that it shows things twice on CreditSesame.
